Residents should note that these textiles will be shredded rather than reused.
Cardboard

Accepted bicycle-related items include bicycles, helmets, parts and tire pumps.
Furniture
in partnership with Sharing Connections residents can bring several types of furniture, including:

- Side tables

- Loveseats
- Sofas (Sleeper sofas are not accepted.)
Seasonal Clothing
Clothing for all ages will be accepted as long as it is in good condition. Organizers ask residents to limit donations to clothing appropriate for the current season. These clothing donations will benefit clients of Sharing Connections.
Documents for Shredding
Personal documents can be brought for secure shredding. Paper clips and binder clips should be removed before arriving. For homeowners preparing to sell, this can be particularly useful. Prescription medications, EpiPens, lancets and syringes will also be accepted. Pills should be removed from their original packaging and combined in a resealable plastic bag. Sharp items should be placed inside a hard plastic container before arriving.
Food
The event will also collect non-perishable food and household paper goods for the Downers Grove Area FISH Food Pantry. That makes the event more than a recycling drop-off.
