At The Glover Team, we believe in the power of community and the joy of giving back. This holiday season, we are excited to announce Platinum Partners collaboration with Sharing Connections, a remarkable organization that brings together community members to support families in need. Together, we aim to collect gently used coats and unwrapped toys for children who could use a little extra warmth and cheer during the holiday season.

PORCH PICK UP REQUEST

From now until December 11th, we invite all those who are feeling generous to join us in this heartwarming initiative. You can drop off your donations at our office, our home, or, if you prefer, we'll even come to pick them up. We're making it as easy as possible for everyone to participate in spreading warmth and happiness to those less fortunate.

Sharing Connections: A Beacon of Hope

Sharing Connections is a shining example of how communities can come together to make a difference. Their mission revolves around enabling families and businesses to share gently used furniture, household items, and clothing with families who need assistance. They understand that sometimes, a small act of giving can have a profound impact on someone's life.

Sharing Connections works closely with various partner organizations, such as domestic violence shelters, housing agencies, food pantries, schools, veteran associations, and teen parent organizations. These partners refer clients to Sharing Connections when they determine the need for essential items like beds, cribs, and furniture. The focus on providing cribs and beds for children is a key aspect of Sharing Connections' mission, aligning perfectly with our current initiative.

Who Do they Help?

The families served by Sharing Connections are diverse and often include those who have faced significant challenges, such as homelessness, unemployment, and domestic violence. This organization offers a lifeline to veterans, immigrants, individuals with disabilities, and those affected by natural disasters. These families have found a place to call home but often lack basic necessities, like beds for their children, a table to share meals, or even a sofa to sit on and relax.

To put this into perspective, the clients served by Sharing Connections have an average annual income of just $12,400 for a family of four. After paying for essentials like rent, utilities, food, and clothing, there's often very little left for the common household furnishings that many of us take for granted. These individuals and families face numerous obstacles on their journey to self-sufficiency.

Expanding the Reach of Hope

Since its inception, Sharing Connections has continually grown to provide more than just furniture and clothing. They now offer professional referral services from partner agencies, ensuring that those in need receive the support they require. Additionally, Sharing Connections has expanded its services to include an annual toy program and a back-to-school supply program. In 2019, they launched their very own in-house case management option, enabling them to offer direct assistance to clients.

In the spirit of togetherness, Sharing Connections and The Glover Team believe in the simple yet powerful idea of "We Furnish Hope." Together, we aim to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those less fortunate this holiday season.

Join us in our mission to bring warmth, comfort, and joy to families in need by donating gently used coats and unwrapped toys. Let's make this holiday season brighter for everyone, one act of kindness at a time.
